The Last Taxi Ride<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A taxi driver was driving to his last customer of this shift. As always, he honked and waited for the client to come to the car. No one showed up. Actually, he would have driven away by now. Since it was the last customer, he went back to his habit of approaching the door and rang the bell.
A fine voice of a woman called: I\u2019ll be right there! Not long after, he heard a shuffling gait. An older lady opened the door with a friendly smile and said: Young man, can you bring my suitcase to the trunk?
The young man \u2013 let\u2019s call him Max \u2013 did this and returned to the door, offering his hand to help the lady in. He saw an apartment where everything was empty \u2013 well cleaned and covered with white sheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once they were in the car, Max asked: Where to? The woman gave him an address and said: that\u2019s a hospice, you see, I received a serious diagnosis some time ago and now I\u2019m going there to spend my remaining days.
I have one request, please don\u2019t drive directly there.
The taxi driver turned off the meter and the two drove through the night. The woman showed him her entire life through the stories of the houses and streets they passed.
At dawn, they arrived at the mentioned clinic and the woman asked him how much she had to pay. Max replied that she didn\u2019t have to pay anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max drove around the city that day; he didn\u2019t want to go home. He wondered what would have happened if he hadn\u2019t gotten out. He felt he had done something very valuable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As this taxi driver, I see myself \u2013 as a small boundary-breaker \u2013 in a human sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Interview sprechen Ingrid und Yvonne \u00fcber ihr Wirken, das metaphorisch so ist, wie in folgender Geschichte:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die letzte Taxifahrt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein Taxifahrer fuhr zu seinem letzten Kunden in dieser Schichte. Wie immer hupte er und wartete, dass der Klient zum Auto kommt. Niemand zeigte sich. Eigentlich w\u00e4re er jetzt wieder gefahren. Da es der letzte Kunde war ging er wieder seiner Gewohnheit zur T\u00fcr und l\u00e4utete.
Eine feine Stimme einer Frau rief: ich komme gleich! Nicht lange, da h\u00f6rte er einen schl\u00fcrfenden Gang. Es \u00f6ffnete ihm eine \u00e4ltere Dame mit einem freundlichen L\u00e4cheln und meinte: Junger Mann k\u00f6nnen sie mir den Koffer zum Kofferraum bringen?
Der junge Mann \u2013 nennen wir Ihn Max \u2013 machte dies und kam zur T\u00fcr zur\u00fcck und bot der Dame die Hand zum Einh\u00e4ngen an. Er sah eine Wohnung wo alles leer \u2013 gut geputzt und mit weissen Lacken abgedeckt war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als sie im Auto sa\u00dfen, fragte Max: Wo soll es denn hingehen? Die Frau gab ihm eine Adresse und meinte: das ist eine Sterbeklinik, wissen sie ich habe vor einiger Zeit eine schwere Diagnose erhalten und nun gehe ich dort hin um die restlichen Tage dort zu verbringen.
Eine Bitte habe ich noch, fahren sie nicht direkt dort hin.
Der Taxifahrer schaltete das Taximeter aus und die beiden fuhren durch die Nacht. Die Frau zeigte ihm ihr ganzes Leben durch die Geschichten der H\u00e4user und Stra\u00dfen, welche sie durchfuhren.
Im Morgengrauen kamen sie bei besagter Klinik an und die Frau fragte ihn, wieviel sie zahlen m\u00fcsse. Max antwortete, dass sie nichts zahlen m\u00fcsse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max fuhr an diesem Tag durch die Stadt, er wollte nicht nach Hause. Er fragte sich, was wohl passiert w\u00e4re, wenn er nicht ausgestiegen w\u00e4re. Er empfand etwas sehr Wertvolles getan zu haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als dieser Taxifahrer empfinde ich mich \u2013 als kleiner Grenzen-Sprenger \u2013 im menschlichen Sinn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El \u00faltimo viaje en taxi<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un taxista conduc\u00eda a su \u00faltimo cliente en este turno. Como siempre, toc\u00f3 la bocina y esper\u00f3 a que el cliente se acercara al auto. Nadie apareci\u00f3. En realidad, ya habr\u00eda partido de nuevo. Dado que era el \u00faltimo cliente, volvi\u00f3 a su costumbre de ir a la puerta y toc\u00f3 el timbre.
Una voz delicada de una mujer llam\u00f3: \u00a1ya voy! No pas\u00f3 mucho tiempo antes de que escuchara un andar arrastrado. Le abri\u00f3 una dama mayor con una sonrisa amistosa y dijo: Joven, \u00bfpuede traerme la maleta al maletero?
El joven \u2013 llam\u00e9moslo Max \u2013 hizo esto y regres\u00f3 a la puerta ofreciendo su mano a la dama para ayudarla a entrar. Vio un apartamento donde todo estaba vac\u00edo, bien limpio y cubierto con lacas blancas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando estaban en el auto, Max pregunt\u00f3: \u00bfA d\u00f3nde vamos? La mujer le dio una direcci\u00f3n y dijo: es una cl\u00ednica de muerte, sabe, hace alg\u00fan tiempo recib\u00ed un diagn\u00f3stico grave y ahora voy all\u00ed para pasar mis \u00faltimos d\u00edas.
A\u00fan tengo una petici\u00f3n, no vayan directamente all\u00ed.
El taxista apag\u00f3 el tax\u00edmetro y ambos condujeron por la noche. La mujer le mostr\u00f3 toda su vida a trav\u00e9s de las historias de las casas y calles que atravesaban.
Al amanecer, llegaron a la mencionada cl\u00ednica y la mujer le pregunt\u00f3 cu\u00e1nto deb\u00eda pagar. Max respondi\u00f3 que no deb\u00eda pagar nada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max condujo ese d\u00eda por la ciudad, no quer\u00eda volver a casa. Se preguntaba qu\u00e9 habr\u00eda pasado si no se hubiera bajado. Sent\u00eda que hab\u00eda hecho algo muy valioso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como este taxista, me siento \u2013 como un peque\u00f1o rompedor de fronteras \u2013 en el sentido humano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
