About this video
This broadcast bYOUR JOURNEY THROUGH THE 8 SEASONAL FESTIVALS
Discover the 8 Celtic seasonal festivals, learn about the backgrounds and rituals, dive deep into the knowledge of our ancestors, and connect with the power of nature.
Our ancestors revered the sun, the moon, and the natural cycles of the sacred Mother Earth and recognized the connection between humans, nature, and all living beings. They believed that everything is animated and interconnected.
From this belief, they celebrated specific energies, events, and astronomically significant times in the annual cycle with each festival.
These festivals marked important energetic shifts in the year, and life was aligned with the wheel of the year.
We invite you to connect with the knowledge of your ancestors and to consciously experience the connection with the cycles of nature and celebrate them in the seasonal festivals. This strengthens your roots so that you can unfold powerfully.
Of course, you are also warmly invited to celebrate this Celtic-Germanic tradition if your ancestors lived and acted in another cultural sphere.
This evening, you will learn more about the general significance of the seasonal festivals in the Celtic tradition, particularly about Imbolc.
The seasonal festival Imbolc was celebrated in pre-Christian times on the second full moon after the winter solstice.
This first spring festival was entirely dedicated to the spring goddess Brigid.
You will be accompanied by Christian Zwenig and Karin Neumeyer from LIVING EARTH.
We look forward to seeing you!
