For a few days now, planes have not been flying to Havana because they cannot refuel their planes there. The hotels are empty because they cannot be heated. Tourism is dead. With this, the country has lost its most important source of income, and a famine is spreading. Cuba was supported by Venezuela for decades. But since the USA arrested the president in Venezuela, that is over.
On the other hand, Maria Sachrova, the Russian media spokesperson, announced a few days ago that Russia will always support Cuba. I do not know anything about concrete measures yet, but it seems to me that Trump’s actions in Venezuela will, among other things, or perhaps that was also the main goal, push Cuba back into the arms of Russia. With everything Trump does, he supports Putin. He must be careful; it is becoming more and more noticeable. First the Peace Council, now Cuba or Venezuela.
In my personal opinion, this is about the stabilization and expansion of the multipolar world order, which currently represents the counterpart to the New World Order. One day, this could perhaps become a federal order, as I have already written in another article. But as long as Ukraine is still in the fight, everything is still very much at the beginning. Ukraine has set everything in motion. It is the magnet for the movement, and as long as this magnet is still needed, the system is not yet standing on its own.
Our world is changing before our eyes at a rapid pace. Do not forget that before Cuba, a third world war almost broke out in 1962. It was formerly the westernmost arm of the USSR. The USSR is dead. The new Russia and the new BRICS states can certainly build on old connections, but this must first be re-initiated. A new foundation for Putin must be created. It does not exist yet. But the old one is no longer there. Cuba could become a BRICS member or a direct partner of Russia. We will see. For now, I expect aid deliveries from Russia to Cuba. The further course is probably in the hands of Cuba. If the multipolar world order is to be better than the new world order, then the countries must be able to decide for themselves where they want to participate and where not.
