Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the West has portrayed Russia as the aggressor, despite the fact that the two now former Ukrainian oblasts (federal states) of Donbas and Luhansk requested help from Russia and also without considering what spirit prevails in Ukraine, a country where statues are currently being erected for Stepan Bandera, a former SS officer. In Western Europe, this would be a revival of fascism, but in Ukraine, this is democracy.
However, in August 2023, the world made a different judgment. The world largely sees that a proxy war between Russia and the USA and Europe is being fought in Ukraine, and Russia is winning. The BRICS states were founded in 2008; at that time, no one really took notice that under the auspices of Putin, a confederation of states was established that encompasses all continents except Australia. Six countries were newly admitted in August 2023, as the world has long had enough of the dominance of the USA. In 2024, the BRICS partner states were invented, and the circle was expanded to 23. If one considers the military contracts that Russia concluded in the same year at the annual Africa meeting in St. Petersburg with over 30 African states, it was a year of record expansion for Russia and the BRICS states. The economic power of China, the technical know-how of India, and the military superiority of Russia make this alliance increasingly interesting. At the 2025 summit in Rio, foundations were laid that show the intention to create a completely new global structure with regional currencies, thus without the US dollar, respect for other cultures, substitute institutions for the previously known global structures like the WHO, which has had a poor image since Corona, or the UN, and an economy that does not only rely on money but has also demanded the creation of jobs for the export of goods since 2023. If the economic fair in 2025 in Russia is significant, with 104 countries participating, then the majority of this world, both in terms of people and states, has turned its back on America, as the planet has only 194 states.
We see the beginning of a new global culture that has named itself the multipolar world order. In his last Valdai speech, the annual Russian science forum, Putin spoke of united nations, but I do not believe he meant the UN. Out of interest in this new multipolar world order, I will occasionally write a little about it here when there is something to report. The conflict between Venezuela and the USA also has its roots in the BRICS states, as Venezuela has also expressed interest in the confederation and Venezuela has one of the largest oil reserves on this planet. What would that mean for the USA if the fish were swimming away right in front of their doorstep?
