Greenland is with 2,166,000 km² roughly 7 times larger than Germany but has with 56,000 inhabitants just a few more people than a small town. It is an autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark with its own parliament and government. As an independent country, it could not survive due to the small population, which is also widely distributed; the dependency on Denmark is primarily financial as the population survives only through subsidies.
An article that has just appeared has brought a thought to my mind that carries several implications that I do not want to withhold from you. Just briefly for all those who have not caught on. Trump, that is America, seriously wants to annex Greenland. Obviously, this is about America’s dominance in the Arctic. One can easily understand it as a response to the success of the BRICS states; the underlying story is the same as with Venezuela: raw materials and in the case of Greenland, more coastline, because up there it is about shipping routes currently dominated by Russia. China is also involved, and with a budget surplus of over 1 billion in 2025, money is no problem in China, but now I will first show you Trump’s latest move.
On Saturday, Trump is introducing a tariff on goods from all countries that support Greenland’s independence or its affiliation with Denmark: 25% until Greenland is sold to the USA.
Europe’s response today quote:
European lawmakers are ready to suspend the passage of the trade agreement between the EU and the USA because President Donald Trump has promised to impose tariffs on countries that have supported Greenland in light of American threats, reports Bloomberg. End quote.
Setting aside the audacity of thinking one can simply buy entire countries, either Trump has become blind to the fact that this action drives Europe and America apart in the long run, or… and I suspect this slowly… the whole thing is intentional. Yes, he wants Greenland, and apparently at any cost, now to blackmail Europe in the truest sense of the word is not only stupid. It seems to us like an agreement between Trump and Putin. They have met, after all. I imagine it like this.
Trump: I will get Greenland, and in return, I will drive Europe back to Russia. I will blackmail them until they reconnect with you.
Putin: You just want to save money for the troops in Europe and get involved in the Arctic trade routes – but fine, if you manage that, I will leave Venezuela to you. Besides, Europe is not enough; we need to overthrow the entire Western system.
Trump: OK, I will overthrow Iran.
Putin: Iran is already part of the BRICS.
Trump: See it as compensation for 1979. If you get Europe back, you can grant me more influence in the Middle East. I cannot lose Saudi Arabia to you.
Putin: We will see.
In November 2021, there were reports from Michael Salla that Trump, Putin, Xi Jinping, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk supposedly met on Jupiter’s moon Ganymede with the Galactic Federation. Nothing was said about the content. Three months later, the military special operation in Ukraine begins, and the world starts moving in a new direction. Coincidence – not in my eyes.
Can you imagine such agreements? Or has Trump gone crazy in his intention to make America great again? To make Greenland a global player, Trump would have to launch large-scale projects and industries to revitalize the island. Or establish a second Antarctica, an international scientific landscape, but that would then be under the control of the USA and would certainly not be free. But more secret projects could arise from this.
