I have thought about Islam in Europe. In short, anyone can believe what they want, but I only have a problem when a religion becomes the state religion. Unfortunately, Islam has such tendencies.

Basically, I honestly no longer distinguish between religions but only between types of religions. I know two: the legal religions and the religions that are based on stories. I refer to Judaism and Islam as legal religions because both received laws from the same God, which, by the way, have absolutely nothing to do with each other. The Jews go to the synagogue on Saturday, the Muslims go to the mosque on Friday. Muslim women wear headscarves, Jewish women do not. Muslims pray five times a day; Jews are supposed to slaughter animals for various problems. All of this comes from the same God, mind you.

However, Christians and also Chinese Taoists do not know laws; they use stories. The advantage of stories is that they do not limit you; they give the individual room for interpretation. Thus, Christianity has sociologically overtaken Judaism until Islam turned the clock back again. The Chinese have had such storytelling traditions 1000 years before the Jews, such as the bird Rock that is thrown out of the nest by the father so that it learns to fly. One should not do that with lions; they have no wings and are also rarely found in trees. Thus, China has known individualism for nearly 4000 years before Kant broke through the objective worldview of Aristotle in Europe and there was a turn to the subject in Europe. All of this works with stories without laws.
