About this video
Kumu ʻAikane Alapaʻi, Kumu Kāhealani Alapaʻi, Kumu Pōmaikaʻi Freed speak about their conference on the island of Reichenau in Lake Constance. They and their support team will guide the participants through fundamental Hawaiian cultural practices.
These include protocols and disciplines, Lomilomi (massage), Hula (sacred dance), Hoʻoponopono (reconciliation), Oli (chant), Moʻolelo (storytelling), and Hana noʻeau (craftsmanship).
The conference and the workshop aim not only to impart knowledge but to provide a lived experience that honors the connection to ʻāina (land), kūpuna (ancestors), and the community, preserving the integrity and wisdom of Hawaiian culture.
